Ilham Aliyev received Speaker of Egyptian Senate

AZERBAIJAN, May 25 - On May 25, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq, Speaker of the Senate of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Speaker Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq conveyed warm greetings from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt to the Azerbaijani head of state. He noted that President El-Sisi fondly recalls his meetings with President Ilham Aliyev.

President Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings and kind words, asking the Speaker to convey his own greetings to President El-Sisi in return.

Highlighting the historic and friendly nature of Azerbaijan-Egypt relations, Speaker Abdel Razeq emphasized the mutual support the two countries extend to each other within international organizations.

President Ilham Aliyev recalled with satisfaction President El-Sisi's official visit to Azerbaijan, as well as his own visit to Egypt, noting the productive discussions held during these encounters.

Both sides underscored the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation and reciprocal visits between legislative bodies in strengthening bilateral ties.

The conversation also included an exchange of views on the future development of economic, trade, cultural, and humanitarian relations between the two countries.
